Mr. and Mrs. Gardner celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Elmo and Rebecca Gardner celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Nov. 30. A luncheon was held Nov. 28 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, given by the couple's sons and daughters-in-law, James and Joe Ida Gardner, and Phil and Pat Gardner.

The couple has two children, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gardner is a retired farmer. Mrs. Gardner is the former Rebecca Braswell of Wilson.
