George Sharp turns 90
George T. Sharp Sr. celebrated his 90th birthday Aug. 26 with a reception held in his honor at Marsh Swamp Free Will Baptist Church.
More than 100 neighbors, family and friends attended the celebration given by his children.
Mr. Sharp is a World War II veteran. He graduated from Rock Ridge High School. He was married to the late Doris Wilson Sharp and has been married to Edna B. Sharp for the last 45 years.
He has five children, three stepchildren, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sharp was born Aug. 26, 1922.
