Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe celebrate 60th wedding anniversary


Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie L. Sharpe celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a celebration given by their 10 children and their spouses at home.

Mr. Sharpe is a retired farmer for Sharpe’s Farms. He also worked at Tobacco Processors for more than 30 years. Mrs. Sharpe is also retired from Sharpe’s Farm and worked at Tobacco Processors for more than 20 years.

In addition to their 10 children, the Sharpes have 20 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

They were married Dec. 30, 1952. Mrs. Sharpe is the former Lillian Atkinson of the Toisnot Township
