Mr. and Mrs. Evans celebrate 50th wedding anniversary


John Lee and Ann W. Evans celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family Aug. 28.

The event included a renewal of vows at Good News Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Julius Whitley officiating.

Bridal attendants were Amber Radford, Brittany Evans, Taylor Evans, Kimberly Evans and Kensley Evans, all granddaughters of the couple. Groomsmen were Matthew Evans, Nolan Evans and Parker Evans, grandsons of the couple.

A reception followed in the church fellowship building hosted by the honorees’ children and their spouses: Beth and Mike Radford; Johnny and Lisa Evans; Richard and Melody Evans; and Randy and Paula Evans

Seventy-five guests attended.

Mr. Evans works with Evans Mctavish Aircraft. Mrs. Evans is a housewife.

Mr. and Mrs. Evans were married Aug, 28, 1963. She is the former Delores Ann Woodard of Wilson.
