Mr. and Mrs. Ford celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
James C. and Janice Ford of Kenly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on Dec. 31 with their family in attendance.
Howard Scott, Mrs. Ford’s cousin, officiated at the 3 p.m. renewal of vows ceremony which was held under their garden arbor.
A reception, hosted by the couple’s daughters, followed.
The Fords were married Dec. 30, 1961.
Mr. Ford is the son of the late James William and Louise Ellis Ford of Lucama. Mrs. Ford is the former Janice Ann Scott of Kenly and is the daughter of the late Robert Exum and Alma Barnes Scott who shared the same anniversary date.
J.C. and Janice have two daughters: Lori F. Taylor and husband, Lowell, of Williamston; and Lisa F. Smith and husband, Mitch, of Oak City. They have four grandchildren: Dawson and Exum Taylor; and Matthew and Jonathan Smith.
