Joyners celebrate 50th anniversary


Lotis and Dorothy Barnes Joyner celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party Jan. 9 at Winstead United Methodist Church.

The couple's daughter, Beth J. Wells, son-in-law, Sammie W. Wells, and grandson, Joseph H. Wells, were hosts.

Mr. Joyner retired from Carolina Freight with 30 years of service. Mrs. Joyner retired from Sprint with more than 42 years of service.

Mrs. Joyner is the former Dorothy Barnes of Wilson. They were married Jan. 8, 1960.
