Anniversaries
O'Brien 50th wedding anniversary Jim and Linda O'Brien celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 7. A trip to The Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville was given to the couple by their children and grandchildren. The O'Brien's have one daughter, Marsha Ruggeri and husband, Jay, of Lafayette, Colo., and two sons, Jim O'Brien Jr. and wife, Kelly, of Overland Park, Kan., and David O'Brien of Atlanta, Ga. Their grandchildren are Sophia and Siena Ruggeri and Evan and Gillian O'Brien. Mr. O'Brien was employed as a sales manager for John Morrell & Co. for 31 years. Mrs. O'Brien worked for BB&T for 10 years. She is the former Linda Bullock of Robersonville.
