An anniversary reception was held at Forest Hills Baptist Church. Hosts were the couple's children and grandchildren, Frank, Alice, and Lauren Lahnstein, and Michael, Laura and Hannah Strickland.

Mr. Strickland was employed by Napa Auto Parts for one year and by Avera Auto Parts for 30 years.

The couple has two children and two grandchildren. Mrs. Strickland is the former Marie Pearce of Wilson.
