James Ernest Ray and Cheryl Lovell Ray of Wilson announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Marie Ray of Cullowhee, to Daniel James Allen of Cullowhee, son of James Bruton Allen III and Jean Foust Allen of Rockwell. The bride is the granddaughter of Charles Edgar Ray and Donna Replogle Ray of Ocala, Fla., and Leatrice Rodriguez Lovell of Greenville, N.H., and the late Carroll Montgomery Lovell of Lake Worth, Fla. The groom is the grandson of James Bruton Allen Jr. and Frances Dawson Allen of Troy and Jean Sexton Foust of Greensboro and the late James Dewey Foust of Greensboro. A January 2014 wedding is planned in Cullowhee.
