Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Ray Gardner of Elm City announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Lauren Gardner, to Miller Thompson Robbins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady Morrison Robbins of Elm City. The bride is the granddaughter of Rebecca Skinner Hill and the late Jesse Preston Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leland Chandler Gardner. The groom is the grandson of Jean Miller Thompson and the late James Leslie Thompson Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grady Robbins. A Dec. 1 wedding is planned at New Hope Baptist Church.
