Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Lee Matthews Jr. of Wilson announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffany Lynne Matthews of Morehead City, to Jarrett Thomas Thorne of Morehead City, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thomas Thorne of Newport. The bride is the granddaughter of Dorothy P. Leach of Wilson and the late H.L. "Roy” Leach and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Lee Matthews Sr. of Wilson. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Coy Crosby, Doris Thorne and the late William Thomas Thorne, all of Wilson. A March 16 wedding is planned at Pine Knoll Shores.
