Rome Flowers Jr. of Sims and Barbara Flowers of Bailey announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Diane Flowers of Wilson, to Thomas Scott Maness of Wilson, son of Diane Maness of Asheboro and the late Thomas Maness Jr. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rome Flowers Sr. of Sims, the late James Perry and the late Peggy Perry, both of Bailey. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maness Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Moffitt of Asheboro. A Sept. 21 wedding is planned at Raleigh Road Baptist Church. All friends and relatives are invited to the 6 p.m. ceremony.
