Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hancock of Sims and Douglas Cummings of Tarboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyssa Caitlin Cummings, of Sims to James Cameron Reaves of Elm City, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pierce of Elm City and the late James Franklin Reaves Jr. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Sharp of Kenly, the late Doris Wilson Sharp, the late Stella Watson, and the late Mary Costin Flynn and the late Henry Flynn. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Warren Jr. of Elm City, Carolyn Reaves of Kenly and the late James Franklin Reaves Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. George C. Pierce of Lucama. A June 21 wedding is planned at Marsh Swamp Free Will Baptist Church.
