Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hines Thompson of Wilson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Hines Thompson of Wilson, to Mark James Ihnat of Wilmington, son of Capt. and Mrs. Dennis James Ihnat, USCG (ret.), of Wilmington.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Aubrey Thompson Jr. of Wilson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Melvin Spencer Jr. of Wilson.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Ihnat of Florida, the late Mrs. Alice Marie Davin of New York, and Mrs. India Bell Davin and the late Mr. John Joseph Davin of Maryland.
A May wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church in Wilson.
