Kristin Randi Faircloth and Dr. James Norman Ross Lupton, both of Wilson, exchanged marriage vows Oct. 6 in a 5 p.m. ceremony at Howard Chapel on the campus of Barton College. The Rev. Doug Radford officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Linda Faircloth of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walter of Manalapan, N.J., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Waverly Nunnally of Richmond, Va. She graduated from Hunt High School and Barton College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education and Biology. She was a member of Theta Omega Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority at Barton. She is an architectural administrator with Community Management Corp. in Chantilly, Va.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lupton of Wilson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pond of Crewe, Va. He graduated from Hunt High School, North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Nutrition, and Ohio State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He is a doctor of veterinary medicine at Pender Veter-Centre and Dulles Gateway Clinic in Fairfax, Va.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Maggie Sottero strapless A-line gown with a chapel-length train. The gown featured double tiered scalloped lace at the hemline with corded lace on point d’Espirit. Her paternal great-grandmother’s handkerchief was pinned inside her dress..
For her headpiece, she chose a cathedral veil trimmed in matching lace.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, tulips and daisies.
Matron of honor was Kelly Faircloth Hutchens, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Allison Williams, Katie Wagstaff, and Jennifer Furchak and Jillian Furchak, cousins of the bride.
Attendants wore black satin, strapless gowns.
Flower girls were Katherine Hoskins and Lillian Hoskins. They wore floor-length ivory lace dresses accented with red and black ribbon.
Best man was the groom’s father.
Groomsmen were Robert Lupton and John Lupton, brothers of the groom; Blake Lloyd; and Brian Lynch.
Junior groomsman was Jackson Hoskins.
Ring bearer was William Hoskins.
Register attendant was Anne Gossweiler, aunt of the bride.
Program attendant was Sarah Nunnally, aunt of the bride.
Wedding director was Maggie Taylor.
Wedding music was provided by bagpiper Robert White.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in Hardy Alumni Hall at Barton College. The bride’s parents hosted the event.
Reception greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Owens.
On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at Quince — A Southern Bistro hosted by the groom’s parents. Earlier that day, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at the Wilson Country Club, hosted by Teri Raynor, Mary Jo Stancil, Polly Farmer, Janice Owens and Lori Ellis.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas. They reside in Clifton, Va.
Jan. 27: An engagement dinner was held at Something Different, hosted by the bridal couple’s parents.
Aug. 25: A bridal shower was held at the home of Rebecca Hoskins, hosted by the bridesmaids.
Aug. 26: A bridal shower was held at First Free Will Baptist Church, hosted by the church.
