Jessica Brooks Nelson and Jeb Stuart Carter of Boone exchanged marriage vows Dec. 18 in the Garden Gazebo at Sandals Resort, Grand Antigua. Officiating at the 1 p.m. ceremony was Roma Spencer.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Teresa Nelson of Wilson and the granddaughter of the late Bailey and Arleen Nelson of Henderson and the late J.T. Robbins of Elm City and the late Irene L. Robbins of Wilson. She graduated from Clark Fork Jr./ Sr. High School in Clark Fork, Idaho, and Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in B/K administration. She is director of the children’s program at Generations Development Day Center in Jefferson.
The groom is the son of Lee and Libby Carter of Pineola and the grandson of the late F.J. and Sylvia Carter of Danville and the late Thomas and Margaret Sherrill of Hudson. He graduated from Avery High School and Asheville/ Buncombe Technical Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in culinary arts. He is sous chef at Linville Golf Resort in Linville.
They honeymooned at Sandals Resort in Grand Antigua and are living in Boone.
