Pamela Mechelle Ellis and Joshua Grey Beacham, both of Savannah, Ga., exchanged marriage vows Oct. 20 in a 4 p.m. ceremony on the beach at Islander Suites in Emerald Isle. Bernard Arnold officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Pam Ellis of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Alease Sanders of Swansboro, formerly of Wilson; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sanders of New Bern; and the late James "Teena” and Marie Ellis. She graduated from Hunt High School and Wayne Community College as a certified dental assistant. She is a certified dental assistant with Miller Dentistry in Savannah.
The groom is the son of Jim and Judy Beacham of Cary. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Beacham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Desern Jr. He graduated from Athens High School in Raleigh and attended North Carolina State University and Wake Technical College. He is project manager/ estimator with A & V Electric in Savannah.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Lindsay Ellis Hamm, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Jamie Pope of Wilson, Ashley Stewart and Melissa Hill of Raleigh and Karen Boggs of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Sparkler girls were Taylor Ellis of Wilson, niece of the bride, and Kaitlin Downing of Elm City, cousin of the bride.
The groom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Josh Spingola of Raleigh; Jason Jones of Raleigh, cousin of the groom; David Tunnel of Swan Quarter; and Richard Maestri of Raleigh.
Program boys were Brandon Ellis of Wilson, nephew of the bride, and Maddox Jones of Raleigh, cousin of the groom.
Register attendant was Renee Ellis of Wilson, sister-in-law of the bride.
A reception at Islander Suites Courtyard followed the ceremony. The bride’s parents were hosts. Assisting were Renee Downing, aunt of the bride, Hiram Grady, Phillip Cox and Darrell Crowder.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents entertained at a rehearsal dinner at Portofino’s in Emerald Isle. Earlier that day, the bridesmaids got manicures and pedicures at Beautiful You Nail Salon in Emerald Isle, hosted by the bride’s parents and Tammy Newsome.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Charleston, S.C., and are making their home in Savannah.
