Poole-Bishop

Tabitha Lorraine Bishop and John Anderson "Andy” Poole, both of Clermont, Fla., exchanged marriage vows May 9 in a 5 p.m. ceremony at The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Fla. The ceremony was officiated by Grace Felice of Sarasota.

The bride is the daughter of Susan Ann Bishop and the late John Raymond Bishop of Cambridge, N.Y. She is the granddaughter of the late Mary and Michael Graham of Bennington, Vt., and Donald Francis Bushee and Bryan and Henrietta Proulx of Bennington, Vt. She graduated from Washington Academy High School. She works as a retail guest service manager at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The groom is the son of Mittie Poole-Morton and Butch Morton of Wilson, and Johnnie Poole and Janet Poole of Elm City. He is the grandson of the late Kenneth and Mary Ruth Poole of Rocky Mount, and the late George and Mildred Stewart of Knoxville, Tenn. He graduated from James Baxter Hunt High School and the University of East Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications. He later attended Stetson University in Deland, Fla., receiving his Master of Business Administration. He is a guest service manager with the Walt Disney Company.

Escorted by her eldest son, Stanley Frankie Getty, the bride wore a A-line ivory gown with appliqueed layered organza and a modern cathedral-length train by Vera Wang.

The bride carried a bouquet made of crystal brooches wrapped in fuchsia ribbon, designed by the bride.

Matron of honor was Alicia Elaine Dickinson of Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Bridesmaids were Devon Burch of Orlando, Fla;, Deb Bishop, sister-in-law of the bride, of Salem, N.Y.; and Debbie Staub of Orlando.

Flower girl was Hannah El-Gama of Manhattan, N.Y., niece of the groom.

Best man was Johnnie "Sammy” Poole of Elm City, father of the groom.

Readers at the wedding were Mittie Morton, mother of the groom, and Susan Bishop, mother of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Great Room at The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens hosted by the groom’s parents. Music for the wedding and reception was provided by G-Clef productions of Orlando.

The couple plans to honeymoon in September and will reside in Clermont.
