Kendra Leigh Goff and John Adam Sorenson were united in marriage July 27 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Goff of Ogden, Utah. Grandparents are Ellen Russell and the late Robert Russell of Pleasant View, Utah, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Goff of Ogden. She graduated from Ogden High School and will graduate from Brigham Young University in December with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Sorenson Jr. of Wilson. He is the grandson of Theron and Shirley Shepard of Cypress Creek and Leon and Pat Sorenson of Farmington, Utah. He graduated from Fike High School and will graduate from Brigham Young University in December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
The bride wore a formal ball gown of opal organza. A sweetheart neckline and a belt that was embellished with Swarovski crystals adorned the fitted bodice. The bottom of the dress cascaded from the waist, covered in swirls and roses of opal organza, into a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of pink and peach roses, accented with pink peonies and tied with pink satin ribbon.
Bridesmaids were Kellie Lynn Goff White of San Jose, Calif., Lauren Elizabeth Goff Humbert of Iowa City, Iowa and Heather Anne Goff of Ogden, sisters of the bride; and Caroline Afton Sorenson of Raleigh, Ashton Elizabeth Sorenson of Raleigh and Hollan Alexandra Sorenson of Wilson, sisters of the groom.
Groomsmen were Carson Kreg Monson of Draper, Utah; James David Morris of Katy, Texas; Matthew David Goff of Ogden, brother of the groom; Mark Lewis Humbert of Iowa City; and Brady Jackson White of San Jose.
Following the afternoon ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception dinner and dance at the Redd Butte Botanical Gardens in Salt Lake City.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a Southern-themed rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s parents. Also hosted by the groom’s parents was a reception held in Wilson.
The couple took a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., and then a cruise to the Bahamas. They are living in Provo, Utah.
May 25: Alison Stromberg hosted a bridal shower at the home of the bride’s parents.
July 24: After a brunch at Kneaders Restaurant, a bridal shower was hosted by the paternal aunts of the groom at the home of Leon and Pat Sorenson.
Aug 10: A luncheon preceding the reception held in Wilson was given at the home of Scott and Paula Benson, also hosted by Hunter Peebles.
