Bass-Sauls

Laura Dillon Sauls and Justin Ronnie Bass of Knightdale were married Nov. 16 in Pinetops Presbyterian Church. The Rev. James Hawley McKinnon Jr. and the Rev. Dr. Billy Toler officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dale and Gordon Sauls of Wilson and the granddaughter of Ruth and David E. Anderton of Williamsburg, Va., and Mary Frances Sauls of Wilson and the late Gordon Sauls. She graduated from Fike High School and Barton College with a degree in biology. She is a pharmaceutical validation specialist with Gills Process Control Inc. in Rocky Mount.

The groom is the son of Jane Bass of Wilson and Ronnie Bass of Concord. He is the grandson of Margirene Jones of Wilson and the late Paul J. Jones and Alice Orr of Wilson and the late Dale E. Orr. He graduated from Hunt High School and attended Lenoir-Rhyne University and is a pharmaceutical mixing technician with Ajinomoto.

The bride was escorted by her father. Maid of honor was Ashley Bass of Wilson, sister of the groom. Michelle Deringer of Nashville was bridesmaid.

The groom’s father was best man. Groomsman was Matthew S. Lamm. Ushers were David E. Orr, uncle of the groom, and Gordon G. Sauls III, brother of the bride.

A reception on Strickland Farm Road followed the ceremony. The bride’s parents were hosts.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Parker’s Barbecue.

Mr. and Mrs. Bass are making their home in Knightdale.
