Dubovec - Aschbrenner

CANCUN, MEXICO -- Kristen Lea Aschbrenner and James Michael Dubovec, both of Raleigh, exchanged wedding vows May 29 in a 4 p.m. ceremony in Cancun, Mexico.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Linda Aschbrenner of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Rose Aschbrenner of St. Simmons, Ga., the late Don Aschbrenner and the late Cecil and Nadine Brown. She graduated from Broughton High School and received her bachelor's degree in communications from Appalachian State University. She is employed by Local Government Federal Credit Union as a member development officer.

The bridegroom is the son of Marty and Chris Dubovec of Wilson. He is the grandson of Michael and Pearl Mitchin of Akron, Ohio, Mary Dubovec of Barberton, Ohio, and the late Martin Dubovec. He graduated from Hunt High School and is employed by Pierce Group as a benefits specialist.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Matron of honor was Laura Smith, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Schultheis, sister of the bride, and Martha Grace Orman.

Best man was the bridegroom's father.

Groomsmen were Grayson Liner and Thomas Smith.

After returning from a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Raleigh.
