Pipkin-Keen

Jamie Anne Keen and Jason Matthew Pipkin of Sims exchanged marriage vows on Oct. 24, at Farmington Heights Church. The Rev. Scott Sauls officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Debbie S. Keen of Sims and the late Stuart M. Keen. She is the granddaughter of the late William Thomas Stallings and Ruby Ann Stallings of Bailey, the late John Russell Keen and Mattie Winbourne Keen of Wilson. She graduated from Wilson Christian Academy and received an associates degree in radiologic technology from Edgecombe Community College. She is employed as a radiologic technologist at Rocky Mount Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center.

The bridegroom is the son of Henry and Betty Pipkin of Wilson. He is the grandson of Elizabeth Matthews and the late Clarence Matthews of Lucama, and of the late Russell Pipkin and Martha Stancil Pipkin of Elm City. He is a graduate of Hunt High School and is now employed as a product support representative for Kioti Tractor in Wendell.

Escorted by her mother, the bride chose a formal gown of tulle and beaded schiffli lace. The strapless fitted lace bodice was embellished with pearls, sequins, and bugle beads. The sweetheart neckline was enhanced with tulle ruching and the gathered floor-length tulle skirt and cathedral-length train was flanked with garlands of beaded schiffli lace in a pyramid design and was bordered in scalloped beaded schiffli lace.

The bride's veil was candelight in color and sprinkled with sequins and crystals that fell to her fingertips and double layers of soft illusion with a rolled edge.

She carried a hand tied bouquet of long-stem, hot pink roses tied with black satin ribbon and pearls.

Stephanie Hicks of Zebulon, cousin of the bride, and Christina Johnson of Sims, served as matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jennifer Flora of Raleigh, Crystal Fly of Rocky Mount, Stacie Murray of Middlesex and Valerie Ryan of West End.

Kassidy Denton and Kailey Murray, cousins of the bride, served as junior bridesmaids.

Flower girls were Harley Murray, cousin of the bride, and Ryleigh Fly.

The groom's father, Henry Pipkin, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Brandon Fulghum of Sims, Joel Hicks of Zebulon, Walker Johnson of Sims, Scotty Pipkin of Wilson, brother of the groom, and Kelly Strickland of Sims.

Shane Brantley, cousin of the bride, was junior groomsman.

Ring bearer was Riley Jennings, cousin of the groom.

Jerome and Susan Vick and the bride's aunts, Barbara Lamm and Sue Webb, served as honorary attendants.

Register attendant was Doris Brantley.

Megan Cambra was program attendant.

Director was Angie Parnell.

Wedding music was provided by trumpeter Jim Bradshaw, pianist/saxophonist Tim Hurt, vocalists Joe and Ricky Coleman and harpist Marilyn Wienand.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride's mother at the Wilson County Shrine Club.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the bride's mother by the parents of the groom.

Earlier that day, a bridesmaids luncheon was held at the Wilson Country Club hosted by the bride and her mother.

The couple now resides in Sims after returning from their wedding cruise to the Caribbean.
