Shadding-Bressler

Tammy Bressler and Mark Stephen Shadding of Wilson were married at Daniels Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Dec. 19. The Rev. Johnny Sullivan at officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joyce Bressler and the late Bobby Bressler of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of the late Louise West of Virginia. She is a graduate of Beddingfield High School and attends Wilson Community College, where she's studying to be an LPN. She is employed by Longleaf Neuromedical Treatment Center as a health care technician.

The bridegroom is the son of the late T.J. Shadding and the late Goldie Glover of Wilson. He is the grandson of the late Preston Proctor and Mabell Proctor of Wilson. He graduated from James B. Hunt High School and attended Wilson Community College.

Escorted by her son, Hunter Crain, the bride wore a flowing, formal, ivory, A-line gown fashioned with a beaded bodice. She carried a bouquet of red cala lilies and champagne roses.

The bride's daughter, Samantha Culvahouse was maid of honor. She wore a black and silver, satin and mesh overlaid applique dress.

Anna Strickland, niece of the groom, was flower girl. She wore a velvet hipster dress accented with a sash and a plaid skirt.

Best man was the groom's son, Ryan Shadding.

The church was decorated with red and yellow poinsettias. Each window was decorated with candles and holly. Each pew was adorned with ivory bows and ribbon. The wedding cake from Sweet Maria's was an authentic European style with vanilla mousse filling and a butter cream frosting, decorated with champagne ribbon and adorned with a personalized porcelain cake topper.

Following the ceremony, the couple hosted a reception at the church.

They have returned from a wedding trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C. , and are living in Wilson.
