Kristen Nichole Sherrod of Middlesex and Gregory Allan Davis of Wilson exchanged marriage vows Nov. 3 in a 3 p.m. ceremony at First Free Will Baptist Church of Wilson.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry W. Sherrod of Middlesex. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah H. Whitley of Middlesex and the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Sherrod of Spring Hope. She graduated from Southern Nash High School and East Carolina University with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She is a social worker for Community Home Care and Hospice.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis of Wilson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Davis of Wilson and L.J. Moore of Wilson and the late Carlie W. Moore. He graduated from Fike High School and Wilson Community College with an Associate’s degree in Information Technology and is the Network Administrator for S.T. Wooten Corporation.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white organza ball gown by Galina Signature featuring a sweetheart neckline with a heavily embellished waistband and a cascading ruffled skirt flowing into a chapel length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a full-length veil with pencil edge trim.

She carried a colorful bouquet of calla lilies, gerbera daises, and baby roses.

Maid of honor was Vanessa Sherrod Moore, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kaitlin Sternberg, niece of the bride, and Emily Davis, niece of the groom.

Junior bridesmaids were Caroline Whitley and Sarah Sternberg, nieces of the bride, and Madison Davis, niece of the groom.

Flower girls were Kenna Sternberg, niece of the bride, and Sarah Davis, niece of the groom.

The best man was Harold Davis, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Brian Davis, brother of the groom; Eric Lewis and Blake Johnson, cousins of the groom; Anthony Whitley, cousin of the groom; and Larry Antill.

Ring bearer was Brice Davis, nephew of the groom.

Guest book attendant was Deborah Sternberg, cousin of the bride.

Program attendant was Korey Angus, cousin of the groom.

Wedding director was Wanda Bissette Mitchell.

Wedding music was provided by instrumentalist Ramey Jo Dail and vocalist Dr. John Buck.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Something Different, hosted by the bride’s parents.

On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at Something Different, hosted by the groom’s parents.

The day before the wedding a bridesmaids’ luncheon was given at The Jarman House by hostess Sandra Currie. The day of the wedding a groomsmen’s breakfast was held at Amy Jo’s hosted by Sandra Angus.

The couple took a honeymoon to Great Exuma, Bahamas. They reside in Wilson.

Oct. 6: A Jack and Jill shower was hosted by friends of the groom.

Oct. 12: A bridal shower was hosted by the groom’s co-workers.
