Chelsey Elizabeth Byers of Fremont and Noah Allen Edens of Belfast exchanged marriage vows Dec. 8 in a 3 p.m. ceremony at Nobles Chapel Baptist Church in Sims. The Rev. Paul Batson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Jim Byers of Fremont and Dawn Byers of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Dalton and Sylvia Rose of Wilson and the late Robert and Delores Byers. She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and East Carolina University with a degree in recreation and leisure studies and works for the Wilson County Health Department.

The groom is the son of Bill Edens and Patty Edens of Pikeville. He is the grandson of the late Jack and Mary Whiteside and the late Nova and Elizabeth Edens. He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and Mount Olive College with a degree in recreation and leisure studies and works for Wilson County Public Schools.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory gown of silk taffeta. The bodice featured a slight sweetheart neckline and rouching along the waistline. Ivory silk taffeta flowers adorned the waistline and along the pick-up skirt. A semi-cathedral train completed the regal look.

Matron of honor was Keleigh Carey.

Bridesmaids were Amy Bass, Suzanne Bray, Kristin Taylor and Laura Wells.

Flower girls were Kennedy Sauls, Sloane Sauls, Libby Bass and Auburn Carey.

Best man was the groom’s father.

Groomsmen were Josh Edens, brother of the groom; Nathan Edwards; Chris Lee; and Josh Pate.

Ring bearer was Drake Bass.

Program attendants were Hilary Burchette and Abby Williams.

Wedding music was provided by soloist Gerry Smith.

Photographer was Heather Harris.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Willow Springs Country Club in Wilson hosted by the bride’s parents.

On the ever of the ceremony, the rehearsal dinner was held at Something Different hosted by the groom’s parents.

Since their return from a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, they are living in Wilson.

Oct. 5: A wedding shower was hosted by Suzanne Bray and Laura Wells.

Oct. 26: A bachelor party was hosted by the groomsmen.

Nov. 3: A monogram shower was hosted by Keleigh Carey, Amy Bass, Laura Wells.

Nov. 10: A bridesmaids’ luncheon was hosted at Quince by Sherry Hackney.

Nov. 8: A wedding shower was hosted by Stantonsburg Elementary School.

Nov. 4: A wedding shower was hosted by family and friends.

Nov. 28: A wedding shower was hosted by Winstead Elementary.
