Sunday, January 13, 2013 8:48 PM Reid-Bryant Artice Michelle Bryant and Jerry Devon Reid wed Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner. The Rev. Douglas Wooten officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Bryant Jr. of Kenly. She is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She currently works as a care transitions coordinator with Amedisys Home Health. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry McKeever Reid of Wilson. He attended Lenoir Community College and is a veteran of the United States Army. He is currently a technical operation supervisor with Xfinity Comcast. Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore an organza fit and flare gown with a draped bodice and hand-cut bias flange skirt by Vera Wang. The bride was attended by her sister, Cerese Bryant of Durham, as maid of honor. Matrons of honor were Affivia Amy Shabazz of Atlanta and Adrian Johnson of Durham. Bridesmaids were Cinzia Atkinson of New Jersey; Sabrina Dickens of Maryland; Kelly Barnett of El Paso, Texas, sister of the groom; and Shemkia Reid of Atlanta, sister of the groom. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Kimora Janae Bryant of Charlotte. Best man was Antonio Smith of Birmingham, Ala.; honorary best man was the groom’s father. Groomsmen were Luther Travon Bryant of Durham, brother of the bride; Terry Raston of Covington, Ga.; Quincy Barnes of Atlanta; Marcus Butts of Sandy Springs, Ga.; and Jason Williams of Stone Mountain, Ga. Ring bearer was Blake Steward of Stone Mountain, Ga. A reception immediately followed also held at the Grand Marquise Ballroom. The newlyweds will reside in Atlanta. |
