Kathryn Elliot Tomlin of Wilson and Sgt. Nathaniel Robert Gaccione of Westerly, R.I., exchanged marriage vows Nov. 10 in a 4 p.m. ceremony at the bride’s ancestral home in Machipongo, Va. The Rev. Dr. Michael Catlett officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lewis and Melodye Tomlin of Wilson. She graduated form Greenfield School and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and is a teacher for Wilson County Schools.

The groom is the son of Mark and Cindy Gaccione of Westerly. He is the grandson of Shirley Bailey of Northumberland, Pa. He graduated from Westerly High School and is a sergeant in the Unites States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Sara Tomlin of Oakton, Va., sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Sadie Freeman of Wingate, Shelley Hare of Raleigh and Mandy Moore of Raleigh.

Flower girl was Kyla Hughes, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Joe Brancato of Westerly.

Groomsmen were Mark Gaccione and Josh Gaccione of Westerly, brothers of the groom; and Stephen Tomlin of Wilson, brother of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Aqua Restaurant in Cape Charles, Va, hosted by the bride’s parents.

On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at the bride’s ancestral home in Machipongo, hosted by the groom’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaccione are making their home in Wilson.
