Jacquelyn Catherine Ussery and Stephen Edward Lee, both of Raleigh, exchanged marriage vows Oct. 13 in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony at The Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort, S.C. The Rev. Mark W. Avera and the Rev. William A. McCutchen III officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John William Ussery of Hilton Head, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Curtis Wilson Ussery of Hilton Head and the late Mr. Ussery, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Byrd Jordan Jr. She graduated from Heritage Academy and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public and interpersonal communication and is a student at Nash Community College in the physical therapy assistant program. She is a tennis instructor at The Raleigh Racquet Club.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Cyrus F. Lee Jr. of Bailey. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward T. Viser and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus F. Lee. He graduated from Timberlake Christian Academy and North Carolina State University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He works for Cisco Systems as a financial analyst.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Matron of honor was Jordan Ussery Smith, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Rachel Lee Brady, sister of the groom; Rebekah Viser Lee, sister of the groom; Erin Gardner Ussery, sister-in-law of the bride; Margaret Moseley Ussery, sister-in-law of the bride; Emily Keaton Dyar; Kendall Avary Hack; Aylin Catherine Seyalioglu; Sarah Lawrence Simmons; and Heather Elizabeth Willis.

Flower girl was Eliza Jordan Smith, niece of the bride.

Best man was the groom’s father.

Groomsmen were Cyrus Andrew Lee, brother of the groom; Joshua Mills Lee, brother of the groom; Samuel Langston Lee, brother of the groom; Jeffrey Robert Ussery, brother of the bride; John William Ussery Jr., brother of the bride; Casey Franklin Baker; Samuel Jake Gray; Abraham Levi Lawson; Brandon Taylor Long; and Samuel VanKeuren Marshall.

Ring bearers were John William Ussery III, Finley Matthew Ussery and Austin Webb Smith, all nephews of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Berkeley Hall in Bluffton, S.C., hosted by the parents of the bride.

On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at Oldfield Outfitters Center in Okatie, S.C., hosted by the parents of the groom.

On Sept. 8 a lawn games, picnic supper and wedding shower was hosted by Tim and Carol Dale, Anne and Bill Highsmith, and David and Nancy Miller at the Highsmith home in Rocky Mount.

On Oct. 11, a waterside dinner was hosted by James and Jane Wedgeworth at the Wedgeworth home in Hilton Head.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia. They reside in Raleigh.
