Anne Stuart Kyle of Raleigh and Crandall Gates Lea of Rocky Mount were married Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Robert M. Alves officiating at the double-ring ceremony. A reception following the ceremony was hosted by the bride’s parents at Highland Country Club. A rehearsal dinner was hosted on Friday night by the parents of the groom at SkyView on Hay. Following the dinner, a post rehearsal party was hosted by family and friends at Cliff’s Bar at Highland Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton Waring Kyle III of Fayetteville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Calvert Ihrie of Wilson and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton Waring Kyle Jr. of Fayetteville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Winston Lea of Rocky Mount. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bruce Lea Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Norton Gates Wilcox, all of Rocky Mount.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Sara Kyle Middleton of Davidson, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Margaret Elisabeth Hensley and Katherine Boyd Katzman, both of Charlotte; Mary Margaret Lea, sister of the groom, of Wilson; Alison Leigh Miller and Rees Hunter Lea of Raleigh; and Meredith Smith Whitfield of New York City.

The groom’s father served as best man.

Groomsmen were John Michael Dixon, Jesse Wilson Harris III, John Winston Lea Jr., brother of the groom, Jeffrey Allen Moore and Paul Michael Viverette, all of Raleigh; and Matthew William Middleton of Davidson.

The Scripture readers were Elizabeth Lea Troutman of Chapel Hill and James Harrison Gilbert IV of Fayetteville. William Dickson Schaefer Jr. of Fayetteville served as crucifer. The program and guest book attendants were Katherine McIntyre Schaefer, Jane Huske Schaefer and Anne Pemberton Schaefer, all of Fayetteville.

Wedding music was provided by organist Patrick O’Briant, trumpeter Dr. Tim Altman and violinist Megan Kenny.

The bride graduated from North Carolina State University in 2007. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the North Carolina Debutante Ball in 2004. The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 and received his Master’s of Science in accounting from East Carolina University in 2013.

Following a honeymoon in Saint Kitts and Nevis, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
