Rhonda LeAnn Etheridge of Wilson and John Paul Pacheco of Selma were married Nov. 16 in a 3 p.m. ceremony at Hinnant Family Vineyard in Pine Level. Graham Byrum officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Sandra Etheridge of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Alma “Phoebe” Boone of Middlesex, Inez Etheridge of Wilson, the late Laudis W. Perry Sr., the late Carlton “Tootsie” Etheridge and the late Clarence Boone. She graduated from Beddingfield High School and Barton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and East Carolina University with a Master of Arts degree in English. She is the director of Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences Academic Advising and Resource Center at East Carolina University.

The groom is the son of Fermin and Maria Pacheco of Woodside, N.Y. He attended Johnston Community College and is a sales specialist at Lowe’s Home Improvement and owner of Mayhem Kustoms.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a DaVinci ivory satin A-line, strapless gown with floral beading on the bodice, wrapped waist and train. For her headpiece, she wore a 36-inch ivory veil with a pearl border.

Maid of honor was Nickie Price of Stantonsburg. She wore a soft crinkle, plum chiffon, halter-style gown fashioned with a draped cascade.

Best man was Danny Rodriguez of New York. Ushers were David MacNeal of Selma and Marc Reyes of New York.

Udeshi Hargett was violinist. Director was Ginger Langley of Goldsboro. Decorations were provided by Nickie Price.

A reception at Hinnant Family Vineyard followed the ceremony. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was given at McCalls in Clayton.

Mr. and Mrs. Pacheco took a wedding trip to Bryson City and live in Selma.


Sept. 28: A bridal shower was given at Sweet Maria’s by Ginger Langley, Brenda Pittman, Inez Etheridge and Sandra Etheridge.

Oct. 5: A bachelorette party was given by Ginger Langley.

Oct. 8: A bridal shower was given by co-workers.
