Kelli Ann Wingfield of Elm City and Andrew Kemp Edwards of Castalia were married June 7 in a 4 p.m. ceremony at Wilbanks Christian Church in Elm City. The Rev. Bobby White officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Wingfield of Elm City. She is the granddaughter of Gary and Beth Wingfield of Red Oak and Billy and Yvonne Gardner of Elm City. She graduated from Beddingfield High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and a Master’s degree in extension education. She is a QA specialist with Hospira.

The groom is the son of Kemp and Terry Edwards of Castalia and the grandson of Pansy Collins, also of Castalia. He graduated from Northern Nash High School and is a firefighter with the City of Rocky Mount.

The bride was escorted by her father. Maid of honor was Jessica Winstead of Sims. Matron of honor was Grayson Walker of Newport, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Hope Arizpe of Wilson; Anna Scott Wingfield of Nashville; and Melissa Tingen, Randi Gerwatosky and Rachel Garrou of Elm City. Flower girl was Parker Gardner of Macclesfield.

Best man was the groom’s father. Groomsmen were Cameron Collins, Daniel Collins and Brandon Holland of Castalia; Jonathan Tingen of Elm City; Anthony Byrum of Nashville; and Cranford Heath of Elm City. Ring bearer was Richie Walker of Newport, nephew of the groom.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s parents. Also that day, Yvonne Gardner and Tanya Heath hosted a bridal luncheon at Quince A Southern Bistro.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwards took a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico. They will live in Castalia.
