Erin Lee Rice and Dr. Jeffrey Roger Delbert of Union Mills exchanged marriage vows June 7 in a 6 p.m. ceremony at the Rice residence in Bath. Officiating was James Delbert, brother of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Frankie and Pamela Rice of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of George and Sylvia Rice of Wilson. A graduate of Southern Nash High School, she is attending Appalachian State University pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising communication. She is the Website Manager at Biltmore in Asheville.

The groom is the son of Roger and Michele Delbert of Cheektowaga, New York, and the grandson of Nancy Paler of Buffalo, New York. He graduated from West Seneca East High School and received an undergraduate degree in broadcasting and a master’s degree in rhetoric from the College at Brockport, SUNY and his PhD in political communication from the University of Missouri. He is an Assistant Professor at Lenoir Rhyne University.
