Beaman-Nicholson
Emily Katherine Nicholson and Patrick Stephen Beaman, both of Wilson, exchanged marriage vows Saturday in a 5:30 ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The Rev. Katherine Kerr officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Everett Nicholson of Charlotte. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Philip E. Edwards of Rocky Mount and the late Mr. Edwards and Irene Beaver Nicholson of Charlotte. She graduated from Providence Day School and Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and is an elementary school teacher at Thales Academy in Wake Forest.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Levi Beaman of Wilson. He is the grandson of Mrs. Rom William Beaman, Jr. of Snow Hill and the late Mr. Beaman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lawson Hinson. He graduated from James B. Hunt High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Management and is the owner and operator of Grassmasters, LLC.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matrons of honor were Gray Nicholson Bartley of Charlotte. and Ellen Nicholson Ludwig of Fort Wayne, Indiana, sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Brooke Beals Beach of Arlington, Va.; Hilary Evans Craddock of Charleston, S.C.; Rebecca Strater Hahn of Raleigh; Lesley Spencer McKee of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Kaycee Lee Weeter of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Best man was the groom’s father.
Groomsmen were David Rom Beaman of Stantonsburg, brother of the groom; David Worth Joyner, III of Wilson; John Kelly Misback of Wilson; Jason Scott Sullivan of Lucama; Zacharia Harris Wiggins of Wilson; and Tyson Harrell Wooten of Wilson.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Quail Hollow Club hosted by the parents of the bride.
On the eve of the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was held at Quail Hollow Club hosted by the parents of the groom. An after-rehearsal party followed at the same locale and was hosted by the parents of the bride and groom.
After a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will make their home in Wilson.
