Reaves-Bennett
Selena Lynn Bennett and William Alan Reaves, both of Sims, exchanged marriage vows Jan. 7 in a 2 p.m. ceremony at The Legacy in Elm City. The Rev. Fred Carraway officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Shelly and Jeff Keaton of Wilson and Greg Bennett of Elm City and the late Phyllis Landen Bennett. She is the granddaughter of the late Doc Hayes and the late Frances Bennett, and the late Russell and Perline Landen. She graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School and attended Barton College.
The groom is the son of Vera and Virgil Paris of Fletcher and Bill Reaves of Wilson. He is the grandson of George Howell of Hoopers Creek and the late Florence Howell and the late Annie Mae Reaves. He graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School and East Carolina University with a degree in business administration.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Brittany Joyner, the bride’s daughter, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Brenda Holcombe, Michelle Pittman and Denise Riddle, sister of the groom.
Flower girls were Ella Riddle, Lillian Riddle and Abilgail Riddle, all nieces of the groom.
Best man was the groom’s father.
Groomsmen were Andrew Riddle and Brandon Paris.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Legacy hosted by the parents of the bride and groom.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held at Something Different and was hosted by the groom’s father.
They took a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and are now residing in Sims.
