Weddings
Woodard-Lucas Bridget Jenelle Lucas of Wilson and Michael Tyon Woodard of Raleigh exchanged wedding vows March 14 in a private ceremony at the Holiday Inn Express. The Rev. Matthew Tillery officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Brenda Lucas and the late W. Earl Lucas of Spring Hope. She graduated from Southern Nash Senior High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from East Carolina University. She is a maternity public health nurse for the Wilson County Health Department. The bridegroom is the son of James and Edna Woodard. He is the grandson of Essie Mae Farmer and the late Marcellis Farmer. He graduated from Beddingfield High School and earned a degree in information technology and networking from ECPI Technical College. He is an electronic technician for Eaton Powerware in Raleigh. Since their return from a honeymoon in Virginia Beach, Va., the couple is living in Wilson.
