Saturday, March 16, 2013 1:09 AM Barton stopped 3-0 by Limestone From staff reports Unable to complete opportunities to win sets, the host Barton College men’s volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 34-32, 25-22 Conference Carolinas decision to Limestone (S.C.) College in Wilson Gym on Friday evening. The Bulldogs tumbled to 1-11 in the conference and 1-17 overall, while Limestone departed 7-6 in the conference and 10-10 in all matches. The marathon second set featured 20 ties and five lead changes. Overall, the match produced 36 ties and eight lead changes. Zach McCalla led Barton with 16 kills, while Cameron Hudson notched 12. Jordan Robison was the pacesetter with 33 assists. Nick Scalia had a team-high 10 digs. Limestone’s Eric Zaun amassed 16 kills and was complemented by Kevin Hart and Scott Warren with nine each. Andrew Pile recorded a match-high 40 assists, while James Dorr was tops with seven digs. |
