To celebrate Small Business Week, the Wilson Chamber of Commerce is holding three events this week. Corporate sponsors for the free events are BB&T, Cornerstone Bank, and The Heritage Bank.

A small-business luncheon is Tuesday at noon at Barton College Hardy Alumni Hall.

On Thursday morning from 8-9:30, the Chamber will hold two economic presentations at the Wilson Chamber of Commerce building at 200 W. Nash St.

John Bethune, an economist and dean of the School of Business at Barton College, will give his "Wilson County Economic Forecast."

Al Delia, president and CEO of North Carolina's Eastern Region Development Commission, will present the "State of the Eastern Region." He'll discuss the work of the Eastern Region's Partnership and future plans.

On Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, small-business people have a chance to network during a Small Business Week Celebration. The event will have food, beverages and entertainment by the band Sammy O'Banion and Mardi Gras. Sponsoring the celebration are Action Staffing Group Inc., First Venture Properties, FMB, Wilson Tobs, Thomas & Farris P.A., Silverthorne Properties, KS Bank, RBC Bank and Diversified Foods.
