2008 Governor's School The following area high school students are among 800 state-wide selected to attend the 2008 Governor's School, a six-week summer program for academically or intellectually gifted students. Governor's School is open to rising juniors and seniors. Students are nominated to attend. Curriculum areas include art, choral music, dance, drama, English, foreign language, instrumental music, math, natural science and social science. The cost is free for students. The students will either attend Governor's School West at Salem College in Winston-Salem or Governor's School East at Meredith College in Raleigh. The session runs June 15 - July 26.
