Voting rally scheduled By Matt Shaw | Staff Writer A "Get Out The Vote" community rally will be held Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m., at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 209 Pender St. This will be a a non-partisan event to encourage people to be informed and take part in the upcoming elections, according to Darryl G. Smith, an organizer. All candidates, Democrats and Republicans, on the May 6 primary ballots are invited to attend and be recognized. The rally will include information on the election process, dates for the one-stop early voting and assistance that's available to people to get to the polls.
