Feature: Can you identify these faces from the past?

Each Tuesday in The Wilson Times, we will run a photo or three of these old Wilson Recreation Department teams. Today’s photos are the 1980 Industrial League Division I men’s softball champion Firestone, or the 721ers, and a boys soccer team, Americus, from what appears to be the 1990s.

If you know who the people are in the photos, you can call us at 252-265-7808, email us at sports@wilsontimes.com or just leave a comment on the online story at www.wilsontimes.com.

We will compile all the responses and post them on the comments section online.

If you would like a digital copy of one of the photos, drop by the office at Recreation Park Community Center on Sunset Road. For a $2 donation to Wilson Recreation Department athletics programs, you can get an emailed copy.

For more information, contact the Rec at 252-399-2266.

Jerry Hobgood and Sonny Bass are in the first picture. Buck Jones and Larry Speight might be in the picture too.

Coach on left appears to be Parker Davis, so I'm thinking one of the kids may be Carson.
