Arson fire under investigation

Wilson police are investigating an arson fire that took place Tuesday at the 2900 block of Bobolink Court.

Police and fire officials determined the fire to be arson as a result of an investigation, said Police Sgt. Steve Stroud.

Wilson Fire/Rescue Services Battalion Cmdr. David Aycock didn’t provide further information on the fire itself.

But Stroud said police are following up on leads in the case. And the Wilson Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding the case to contact police at 252-399-2323 or CrimeStoppers at 252-243-2255.
