SKYWARN class
Severe Weather SKYWARN classes will be held at the Wilson County Emergency Management office, 1817 Glendale Drive, May 28. The basic SKYWARN training and radar basics course is from 2-4:30 p.m. Advanced training is from 7-9. The classes are free and taught by the National Weather Service. The purpose is to help participants understand and anticipate severe weather. The classes are designed to help students better understand the meteorology and dynamics behind all types of storms. The classes will provide insight into the thunderstorm spectrum and how and why different types of storms develop. If interested, contact Gordon Deno at 399-2830.
ALS support group
The Down East ALS Support Group (Lou Gehrig's disease) will meet May 18 at 2 p.m. at Westside Church of Christ, 106 Oakmont Drive, Greenville. There will be reports on ALS Advocacy Days in D.C. and on the 2008 Walk, a viewing of new promotional videos, and the reading of the Mayor's proclamation declaring May as ALS Awareness Month. Kinship Care

Class reunion
