SOC-DASH United tied CG JVs


RALEIGH — DASH United Homeschool boys soccer team, with players from Wilson, Johnston and Wake counties, battled the host Cardinal Gibbons junior varsity team to a scoreless tie Wednesday.

Ethan Barry and Tyler Sparks split time in goal in the shutout, each making five stops. DASH United managed two shots on frame in each half. Tim Bizzell of Wilson dropped in a cross that Joe Ashby volleyed just over the crossbar in the final minute of the match.

Bizzell and center back Dane Lewis were commended for their performances.

DASH United, now 2-0-1, visits Wilmington Homeschool on Friday at 6 p.m.
