Lady Rams eliminated PITTSBORO -- Host Northwood rained on the Greene Central softball team's postseason parade Thursday night. The Lady Rams were ousted from the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2-A playoffs by a 10-2 score. Greene Central was led at the plate by Shanna Parker who tripled and singled in three at-bats while Chelsea Tyndall had a triple. The Lady Rams of head coach Kim Jones were the No. 2 seed from the Eastern Plains Conference and concluded their campaign 17-9. CORRECTION In Wednesday's edition of The Wilson Daily Times, information provided on Greene Central's playoff-opening win Tuesday night was incorrect. In beating Roanoke Rapids 4-3, Lady Rams starting pitcher Jessica Moore should have been credited with 13 strikeouts and not six as the information stated.
