Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jack Norris

Jack Norris played a major role in the Wilson Christian varsity boys soccer team three wins last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jack, a senior midfielder, scored a goal in the Chargers’ 3-0 defeat of Greenville Christian on Tuesday that, coupled with Monday’s 2-0 win over Trinity Christian, gave WCA a perfect record in N.C. Christian School Association 2-A East Region play. In the first round of the NCCSA 2-A playoffs Friday, Jack punched in a penalty kick for the first goal in the Chargers’ 5-1 defeat of Bethel Christian.

Jack, the son of Becky and Jimmy Norris of Wilson, is ranked No. 2 in his class at Wilson Christian. He maintains a 4.2 weighted grade point average and is a member of National Honor Society. He plans to play basketball for the Chargers this winter.

During his freshman and sophomore years Jack was named to the NCCSA All-State Academic-Athletic team.

Jack is active at Forest Hills Baptist Church and works part-time at Autobell Car Wash.
