Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jacob Lee
Senior captain Jacob Lee was right in the middle of Hunt High boys soccer history last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Jacob, a center midfielder, played a vital role in the Warriors’ two wins in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A playoffs. Hunt defeated West Carteret 2-1 on Tuesday to reach the fourth round for the fourth time in five years. On Saturday, the Warriors clipped Jacksonville White Oak by the same margin for their first-ever jaunt to the fifth round and second trip to the 3-A Eastern final.
Jacob is ranked No. 30 in his senior class and maintains a 4.1 weighted grade point average. He is president of the Student Booster Club and is a member of Club UNIFY and National Honor Society. Previously at Hunt, he played baseball, football and swam.
The son of Jan and Joel Lee of Wilson, Jacob will graduate in December and enroll at UNC Greensboro, where he has earned a soccer scholarship.
Last year, Jacob played for the prestigious CASL Chelsea FC Academy team. He has contributed his time as a Special Olympics volunteer.
