Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Abigail Tippett


Abigail Tippett played a major role in Wilson Christian’s two varsity volleyball wins last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Abigail, a junior outside hitter, totaled 17 kills, 24 service points and 12 aces as the Lady Chargers downed Wake Christian in straight sets Tuesday and Raleigh Christian in four games Friday to improve to 4-2 on the season.

The daughter of Kimberly and Brian Tippett of Wilson, Abigail entered this school year with a grade point average of 3.95. She is currently taking honors English and chemistry. She also plays on the varsity girls basketball team at Wilson Christian.

She is involved in choir and drama at Peace Church as well as mission work through the church. This summer, Abigail went to Nassau, Bahamas, where she worked at All Saints AIDS Camp and helped build two houses.
