Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jesslyn Boyette

The steady play of senior Jesslyn Boyette helped the Community Christian volleyball team continue its winning streak last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

In wins at Sanford Grace Christian and at home against Cape Fear Christian, Jesslyn totaled 28 kills, eight services points, two aces, two digs and one assist as the Cyclones won their fourth and fifth matches in a row.

Jesslyn is ranked No. 1 in her class and has a 4.52 cumulative weighted grade point average entering this school year. She is the senior class president for Student Government Association at CCS, where she also serves as president of the Beta Club. Additionally, Jesslyn is in the Music Club and the Praise Band.

The daughter of Ginger and Tony Boyette of Wilson, Jesslyn is also a basketball and soccer standout for the Cyclones.

She hopes to major in either pediatric nursing or biomedical engineering in college.

She and her family attend Farmington Heights Church, where she is active in Surge Youth Group and plays bass guitar in the band.
