Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Trevor Haines


Trevor Haines played a key role in the Greenfield School varsity boys soccer team’s 3-0 showing last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Trevor, a senior midfielder, had two assists in the Knights’ 9-0 bashing of Fayetteville Freedom Christian and another in their defeat of Greenville Pope John Paul II by the same score before finishing the week with Greenfield’s first goal in its 3-0 defeat of CPIC rival Wayne Country Day on Friday.

Trevor, who attended Greenfield his first two years of high school, brought a weighted grade point average of 3.9 upon his transfer back there from Princeton High this year. He is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), in which he serves as secretary.

The son of Ginger and Michael Haines of Four Oaks, Trevor volunteers his time with The Miracle League baseball organization in Smithfield and YMCA tee-ball league in Clayton.

He plans to major in sports medicine in college.
