Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Craig Edwards

Senior Craig Edwards played a vital role in the Hunt High varsity boys soccer team’s two key victories last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Warriors turned back 3-A Big East Conference archrival Fike 2-1 on Monday then claimed revenge on Northern Nash with a 3-0 triumph Wednesday. Craig, a center midfielder, had an assist in the win over the Knights, sending Hunt to its third straight win and a 9-3-1 overall record and 4-2 Big East mark.

Craig holds a 3.0 grade point average at Hunt, where he is a member of DECA, an international association of marketing students.

Craig also plays for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association ‘95 Explosion U18 boys team. He previously played for the Capital Area Soccer League Elite.

The son of Myriam and Mitch Edwards, Craig volunteers his time coaching a pair of youth soccer teams for the Wilson Recreation Department.
